Ben O. Raub, 84, of Sioux City died Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2005, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Becker-Hunt Funeral Home, with the Rev. Kevin Roach of Riverhills Church officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, with a military flag presentation. Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the funeral home.

Ben Orron Raub was born April 11, 1921, in Wynot, Neb., the son of James A. and Bertha M. (Obermeyer) Raub. He graduated from South Sioux City High School. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps and served in the CBI for two years.

He married Eunice L. Stansberry on Feb. 20, 1946, in Elk Point, S.D. She died June 3, 1995, in Sioux City. He was employed as an office manager, retiring from the Pella Window Company.

He was a former member of the Assembly of God Church, now Riverhills Church in South Sioux City, and the American Legion Monahan Post 64 in Sioux City.

Survivors include two sons, Terry and his wife, Patty of Sioux City and Randy of St. Paul. Minn.; three grandchildren, Lorie and Jim Tague, Mike and Rebecca Raub-Christoffersen and Adam and Kathy Raub; and seven great-grandchildren, Kandy, Jamie and Jenny Tague, Keith Cowan, Kenzie Christoffersen and Katana and Cambrie Raub.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Herbert A. and Floyd E. Raub.

Pallbearers will be Adam Raub, Steve and Daryl Moberg, Jim Tague, Mike Christoffersen and Lavoy Wriedt.
