Kay F. Grover, 66, of Sioux City passed away Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2007, at her residence surrounded by her family.

Services will be 7 p.m. today at Waterbury Funeral Service in Sergeant Bluff. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Kay was born Oct. 26, 1941, in Sioux City, the daughter of Ray and Lenora (Sorensen) Groth. She graduated from Central High School.

She was united in marriage to Fred Grover on Jan. 9, 1959, in Sioux City. She was a bookkeeper for various businesses during the years, until she retired in 2003 due to her health.

She loved to do crafts and made afghans for her family and friends. She enjoyed visiting and playing at the casinos. She and her family camped and fished during their vacations over the years all across the United States.

Survivors include a daughter and her husband, a daughter Cindy and Patrick McGowan of Mason City, Iowa; a son and his wife, Scott and Shelly Grover of Sioux City; a sister, Sharon Bennett of Plano, Texas; a brother, Robert Bock of Sioux City; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father Ray; and mother, Lenora who passed away just this passed October; and a son, Steven in 1965.

Kay is going to be deeply missed by her family and friends.
