David Allen Lundeen, 24, of Sioux City died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2007, in a truck accident in Cherokee County, Iowa.

Memorial services will be 7 p.m. today at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, with Pastor Patrick Burgess officiating. David was born July 22, 1983, in Sioux City, the son of Mary (Kluckman) Lundeen. He graduated from North High School in 2002. He was employed at HOM Furniture as a delivery driver for the past two years.

David loved sports, football and basketball. He loved spending time with his nephew, Ian, with the two of them playing video games or helping coach his youth sporting events football and basketball, where he was loved by many youth. He loved spending time with the Sioux City sporting youth and giving many hours of his time.

David loved just spending time with his family any way he could. He will be remembered as a loving, generous and caring son, brother and uncle.

Survivors included his mother, Mary Lundeen of Sioux City; a brother, Dan and his wife, Brenda Lundeen of Overland Park, Kan.; a sister, Kelly and her husband, Chris Hiserote of Sioux City; his grandmother, Dela Kluckman; a nephew, Ian Hiserote; nieces, McKenna and Jillian Lundeen; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Melvin Kluckman.
