CUSHING, Iowa -- Isabella Victoria Wilton Whyte, 95, of Cushing passed away Saturday, Dec. 8, 2007.

Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church at Cushing, with the Rev. Sheryl K. Ashley officiating. There will be a private burial. Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. today at Barker Funeral Home in Holstein, Iowa.

Isabella was born on May 15, 1912, to Richard and Minnie (Munsen) Wilton at DeKalb, Ill. At the age of five, her family moved to the Correctionville area.

She was united in marriage to Earl Thomas Whyte on March 16, 1930. To this union, three daughters were born, Phyllis, Dixie and Nancy. Isabella and Earl began their marriage farming at Leeds, Iowa. Later they moved to Cushing where they remained, first living in town, then to their farm west of Cushing and then to the farm north of Cushing. Besides being a wife, homemaker, and mother, she also was employed as a cook at the Cushing school for a number of years.

Isabella was a life long member of the Methodist Church.

She is survived by her three daughters, Phyllis (Jim) Heacock, Dixie (Bob) Bleasdell and Nancy (Don) Horst; as well as six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Earl; and sister, Dorothy Castle.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to First United Methodist Church.
