Mrs. Fred Kann, 63, 1418 W. 16th St, died Tuesday at a hospital after a three-week illness.

The former Mary Alice Hayes, Mrs. Kann was born June 17, 1902 at Danbury. She resided in Sioux City for more than 20 years. She was married October 31, 1932 to Fred Kann Sr., at Cathedral of the Epiphany in Sioux City. She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church.

Survivors besides the widower include two sons, Fred J. Jr of Los Angeles, Calif and Roger V. of Sioux City; three daughters, Mrs. Harry Kobes and Mrs. Steve Hoberg, both of Sioux City and Mrs. Jerry Blackshear of La Puente, California; three brothers, Edward Hayes of Moville, John Hayes of Anthon and Joseph Hayes of Battle Creek, Iowa; four sisters, Mrs. Patrick Collins and Mrs. Frank Weber, both of Danbury; Miss Angela Hayes of Battle Creek and Mrs. Walter Rickert of Salt Lake City, Utah; and 10 grandchildren.

The body was taken to the Manning-O’Toole Funeral Home.
