SIOUX CITY | Francis E. "Frank" Beckwith, 88, of Sioux City passed away Sunday, July 17, 2016, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, with family present 6 to 8 p.m., a rosary at 6:45 p.m. and a vigil service at 7 p.m., at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Ave.

Frank was born on Dec. 18, 1927, in Woonsocket, R.I., the son of Clarence and Francis Louise (Quinn) Beckwith. He graduated from Woonsocket High School in 1945.

Frank married Marjorie LaRaine Williams on June 22, 1951, in Monterey, Calif. Frank joined the U.S. Coast Guard on Sept. 1, 1945, and was honorably discharged on Sept. 26, 1957. He then joined the U.S. Air Force on Nov. 19, 1957, and was honorably discharged as a senior master sergeant on Oct. 31, 1965. After his time in the service, Frank worked as a manager at Zenith Credit Union and at Junior Achievement, during their first year.

Frank was a devoted member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, where he was a member of the Men's Club, a lector, and a communion distributor. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, captain of golf and bowling leagues, and a member of TOPS.

Survivors include his wife, Marjorie of Sioux City; children, Francis Scott Beckwith and his wife, Carrie of Sergeant Bluff, and Charlene Marie Jorgensen and her husband, Mike of Sioux City; grandchildren, Francis Adam (Dawn) Beckwith and Chris (Jennifer) Jorgensen; and great-grandchildren, Francis Zephyr and Morrison Beckwith, and Austin and Carter Jorgensen.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Vera (Charlie) St. Sauveur and Ruth Brodeur.
