8 February 2007Jean Krause, 77, of Sioux City died Sunday, Feb. 4, 2007, at a Sioux City hospital.
Per her wishes, there will be no services or visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Christy-Smith Berkemier Chapel.
Jean was born April 25, 1929, in Jefferson, S.D., the daughter of Freeman and Lucille (Olsen) Bruneau. She was raised near North Sioux City and had lived in Sioux City most all of her adult life.
She married Henry Krause on March 3, 1951, in Sioux City. He passed away Aug. 12, 1994 in Sioux City. She had been a bookkeeper for various businesses around the area until her retirement. She then helped out at the Izaac Walton League Clubhouse for many years.
Survivors include a daughter, Pamela (Rick) Ratham of Plano, Texas; a son, Henry A. Krause III of Box Elder, S.D.; and four sisters, Peggy (Albert) Parvu of Sioux City, Bev (Harold) Streeter of Sioux City, Louise "Honey" Wenham of Sioux City and Nonima Mounts of Brownsville, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a sister, Shirley Anderson.
