Robbie H. Martin, 40, of Echo, Ore., formerly of Sioux City, died Thursday, Jan. 25, 2007, in Echo.

Private family services will be held in Sioux City at Morningside Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Roger Graf officiated. Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel is in charge of local arrangements. Online condolences may be sent to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Robbie was born Dec. 25, 1966, in Sioux City, the son of Howard and Ginger (McClary) Martin. He grew up in Sioux City, attended Sioux City Schools and graduated from East High School in 1985. He played on East High School's state championship football team in 1984. He attended the University of Northern Iowa.

Robbie married Renae Elliot on May 13, 1997, in Hood River, Ore. He had worked for Union Pacific Railroad for the last 18 years in Oregon.

He was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and enjoyed golfing, camping and his dogs and cats.

Survivors include his parents, Howard and Ginger Martin of Sioux City; two sisters, Rebecca Gray and her husband, Rob of Minden, Nev., and Regan Martin of Lincoln, Neb.; a brother, Ross Martin of Sioux City; paternal grandmother, Ruby Martin of Sioux City; maternal grandfather, Robert McClary of Sioux City; a niece; two nephews; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Frances McClary; paternal grandfather, Howard Martin; and uncles, Jim McClary and Chuck Martin.
