Donna M. Scadden, 60, of Sioux City died Wednesday, May 22, 2002, at a Sioux City hospital following a lengthy illness.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel. Burial will be in McCook Cemetery, North Sioux City. Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.

Mrs. Scadden was born Feb. 8, 1942, in Milford, Neb., the daughter of Donald and Theresa Elizabeth (Weber) Cunningham, where the family lived to 10 years. The family then moved to White River, S.D., where she was raised and attended school.

She married Larry Scadden on April 10, 1965, in White River. The couple made their home in White River until moving to Sioux City in 1974. She was a homemaker.

She enjoyed making yard ornaments, sewing, stock car races, and spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Larry of Sioux City; a son and his wife, Scott and Cindy Scadden of Sioux City; two daughters, Kathy and her husband, David LaFleur and Toni Scadden and her special friend, Bill Storm, all of Sioux City; seven grandchildren, Tia, Tayla, Shelby, Zachary, Amber, Danny and Shannon; two great-grandchildren, McKayla and Payton; four nephews, Benny, Billy, Lennie and Stephen Cunningham; three nieces, Sandy Brotherton, Teri Mackey and Loretta Trudeau; and 21 grandnieces and grandnephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Charlotte Cunningham; two brothers, Leonard and William Cunningham; and a nephew, Donald Cunningham.

Pallbearers will be Steve, Billy, Jason and Benny Cunningham and Steve and Jake Mackey.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
