Elsie C. Clark, 90, of Sioux City died Saturday, May 11, 2002, at her residence following a brief illness.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. today in Memorial Park Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel.

Mrs. Clark was born March 3, 1912, in Vienna, S.D., the daughter of Joseph and Agnes (Hlvacek) Faiferlick. She was raised in Vienna and graduated from Vienna High School in 1931.

She married Wilford T. "Bill" Clark. He preceded her in death.

She lived in Sioux Falls, S.D., for a number of years and came to Sioux City in 1936. She was employed with Younkers for 14 years.

She was a former president of the American Legion Auxiliary in Sioux City. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, singing, playing the piano and her grandchildren.

Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Sandra and Bryan Vaughan of Sioux City; two granddaughters, Christina Vaughan of Waterloo, Iowa, and Lisa Vaughan of Sioux City; two sisters-in-law, Frances Clark of Omaha, and Carol Fiferlick of Veblen, S.D.; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and two sisters.

Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Siouxland.
