Dale Randall Buum, 40, of Sioux City, formerly of Chamberlain, S.D., died Sunday, May 12, 2002, in Sioux City.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Chamberlain. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. There will be a prayer service at 7 p.m. Thursday at Wevik Funeral Chapel in Chamberlain. There will be a memorial luncheon at noon Saturday at Terry's Tap, 3128 Highway 75 north, in Sioux City.

Mr. Buum was born Oct. 30, 1961, in Vermillion, S.D., the son of Roger and Marlys (Dietrich) Buum. He graduated from Chamberlain High School in 1979. He was currently employed with Terry's Tap in Sioux City. He was formerly employed with Quality Marine and R & D Tree Service, both in Sioux City.

He was an avid fan of NASCAR and stock car racing.

Survivors include his parents of Chamberlain; his children, Kyle, Kayla and Hunter, all of Sioux City; his special companion, Jessica Kritzer of Sioux City, and her children, Seth, Alec, Brittney and their unborn son; brothers, Leonard of Chamberlain, and Lyle of Sioux Falls; sisters, Mary Ann Mann of Rapid City, S.D., Sheryl Steckelberg of Chamberlain, and Joyce Hoffer of Reliance, S.D.

He was preceded in death by maternal and paternal grandparents; and a brother, Roger Alan.

He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
