SIOUX CITY | Betty Charlotte Robinson, 88, of Sioux City, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2016, at a Sioux City hospital.

Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness, 4130 War Eagle Drive, in Sioux City. Abiding by her wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Betty was born on May 17, 1928, to James Cook Robinson and Edith (Lumby) Robinson, in Sioux City. Both of her parents were born in England and immigrated to the United States in the 1920s, and both became U.S. citizens. She attended schools in Sioux City, graduating from Central High School in 1946. Betty worked for the Los Angeles Police Department from 1952 to 1961 before returning to Sioux City. She worked for the Sioux City Police Department from 1961 until her retirement in 1975 as a transcriptionist.

Betty was a member of the West Congregation of Jehovah's Witness in Sioux City.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents.

Betty was grateful for the care and concern she received from her friends in the congregation and from the staff at Westwood Nursing and Rehabilitation.
