SIOUX CITY | Glen Kim Ernst, 60, of Sioux City and Minneapolis, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2016, at a Sioux City hospital.

Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, at Augustana Lutheran Church in Sioux City, with the Rev. Del Olivier officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel. Online condolences may be given at www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Glen was born on Feb. 25, 1956, in Montevideo, Minn., the son of Glen W. and Bernice (Agre) Ernst. He worked at General Electric Company, sold cars, and most recently worked for the Waste Management Company. Glen also lived in Ramona, Calif. for a time before moving to Minneapolis.

He loved to spend time with friends and family, listen to music, his favorite being R&B, funk, and jazz, and take care of his beloved pets. Glen was loved by so many people and was known for his infectious smile. He was an avid fan of Prince and was proud of being an extra in the movie Purple Rain.

Survivors include his partner, Joseph Goulette of Sioux City; brother, Terry Ernst; sisters, Wendy Ernst, Glenice Anderson, Sherol Ingrim, and Delaine Ernst-Carter; numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends.

Glen was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Zona Sanden.
