Sue Miller, 62, of Sioux City died Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2003, at a Sioux City hospital following a lengthy illness.

Private graveside services will be held for the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Nelson-Berger Morningside Chapel.

Sue was born Jan. 19, 1941, in Beaver Crossing, Neb., the only child of Floyd and Elsie (Wagenknecht) Miller. She graduated from Milford (Neb. ) High School in 1958.

She was an art major at the University of Nebraska and a well known local artist for nearly two decades. She specialized in batik and traveled extensively displaying her works at numerous art fairs throughout the Mid-west.

She raised her family in Sioux City before moving to Milwaukee, Wis., where she resided for nine years.

She was the recipient of an organ transplant in 1999 and was very grateful for the transplant and the time it allowed her to spend with her grandchildren. She moved back to Sioux City shortly after her transplant to be closer to her family.

She loved reading, interior decorating and cooking. She also loved gardening and spent many hours tending her "English style" garden.

She is survived by her mother, Elsie Miller of Seward, Neb.; three sons, John Kentner and his wife, Teresa of Sioux City, Jeff Kentner of Venice, Calif., and Matt Kentner and his wife, Catherine of Lakewood, Colo.; and three grandchildren, Jacob, Julia and Mollie.

She was preceded in death by her father, Floyd A. Miller.
