SIOUX CITY | Rosalee Frances Taylor, 79, of Sioux City, passed away Sunday, Oct. 16, 2016, at her residence with family present.

Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Roger Madden officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m., at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Rosalee was born on Jan. 8, 1937, in Neligh, Neb., the daughter of Glen and Frances (Watson) Anson. She was the youngest of nine children. Rosalee attended grade school in rural Antelope and Pierce County, Neb., and graduated from Neligh High School. She then attended Wayne State College and Morningside College, where she earned her BA and master's degrees.

Rosalee taught in rural Antelope and Wayne County Schools before transferring to South Sioux City Community School for 15 years. She retired in 2000.

She is survived by her daughter, Melanie A. Taylor; daughter, Elizabeth A. Morehead (Terry) and their children, Falon Andersen and husband, Andy and their children, Madilyn and Hayden, Christopher Calvillo and wife, Brittany and their son, Jackson, Joanne Calvillo and her daughter, Trina, Melissa Dahna and husband, Bill and their children, Kaydence Davis and Colton Dahna, and Nathan Morehead; son, Phillip C. Taylor (Kim Sullivan) and his daughter, Brittney and her husband, Matt Jaminet and their children, Cowan, Caden, Cale, and Cambree; brothers, Neville Anson and Arvin Anson (Ruth); and a sister, Alice Anson Mahood.

Rosalee was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Rebecca Ann Taylor; two brothers, Delbert and David; and three sisters, Lucille, Audree Bahr, and Dorothy Emory.
