Sharon M. Kieser, 70, of Holly Springs, Iowa, died Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Burgess Health Center in Onawa, Iowa.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M. Thursday, October 20, 2016 at the Rush Family Chapel in Onawa, Iowa, with Pastor Karen Handke officiating. Burial will follow in the Willow Township Cemetery in Holly Springs, Iowa.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service at the Rush Family Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service in Onawa.

Sharon Marie was born January 28, 1946 in Portland, Oregon, the daughter of George and Paulina (Shawgo) White. She grew up in the Portland area, where she attended school.

Sharon and Daniel Kieser were united in marriage on November 25, 1995 in Onawa, Iowa. The couple lived in Holly Springs, Iowa, and she greatly enjoyed the peace and quiet of the town.

She spent most of her working years caring for the children of her neighbors and friends. She enjoyed crocheting and riding horses.

Survivors include her husband, Daniel Kieser of Holly Springs, IA; one son, John (Vicky) Terrell of Whiting, IA; two daughters, April (Brad) Deemer of Homer, NE and May (Juan) Alvarado-Quiroz of Killen, TX; fourteen grandchildren, Matthew, Brian, Ken, Brady, Shanda, Natasha, Alyssa, Beri, Kayle, Savanna, Juan Jr., Mason, Anthony, and Ashley; seven great-grandchildren, Tristyn, Waylon, Zakaya, Bentley, Hunter, Kenley, and Ashlyn; and one of her best friends, Marcia Petersen.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two of her best friends, Donna Rojas and Alice Comly.
