Edward E. Flaherty, 75, a resident here since 1898, died Tuesday at his home, 2609 10th Street, after a long illness. He was a carpenter.

Mr. Flaherty was born July 29, 1872, in Edgerton, Illinois. He worked at the West Hotel 20 years and he was employed for several years in the rug department of Davidson Bros. Co.

Survivors include a brother, C. W. Flaherty of Long Beach, California and two sisters, Mrs. W. H. Deacon of Tacoma, Washington and Mrs. Josephine Redl of Sioux City.

The Anderson Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Edward E. Flaherty

Funeral service for Edward E. Flaherty, 75, 2609 10th Street, who died Tuesday at his home after a long illness, will be held at 9 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Rev. Edward Lilly will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

The rosary will be led by Rev. Father Lilly at 7 o’clock tonight at the Anderson Funeral Home.
