Chairman of Arms Firm Board, Native of Sioux City, Dies

Hempstead, N.Y. – Wilfred L. Wright, 70, chairman of the board of directors of the Savage Arms Corporation, died Monday at his home after a brief illness.

Wright, a native from Sioux City, was president of the Savage Arms Corporation from 1919 to 1940 when he became chairman of the board. At his death he also was chairman of the board of the Sipp Eastwood Corporation, Paterson, N.J.

His widow, two sons and two grandchildren survive. The Savage Arms Corporation has plants at Utica, N.Y. and Chicopee Falls, Mass.
