Former Army Man Is Dead

A.F. Johnson, S.C. Resident for 18 Years, Passes Away

Following a lingering illness, Allison F. Johnson, 32, 721 Thirty-fourth Street, died at his home late Wednesday afternoon.

Mr. Johnson was born at Armour, S.D. September 10, 1894 and came to Sioux City in 1909. He attended school at Armour and Sioux City, and also went to Shattuck Military academy and Dartmouth College.

For nearly two years during the World War, Mr. Johnson was in the army. He enlisted in 1917, and in 1918, while still in the service, he received his college diploma.

At the expiration of his army duty, he joined his father in the Willys light company of Sioux City; with which he had been associated two years. Later he had worked with his father in the Homer W. Johnson Company, dealers in farm lands and city real estate.

Mr. Johnson belonged to the Sioux City Boat Club and was a member of the American Legion. In College he won Phi Beta Kappa honors.

Surviving the war veteran are his mother, Mrs. H. W. Johnson, three brothers, H.W. Jr, Paul A., of Chicago and Edwin H. of Sioux Falls and three sisters, Mrs. C.H. Horsman, Ruth E. and Constance Johnson all of Sioux City.

The body is at the Perasso Bros. undertaking parlors, pending funeral arrangements.
