Death Takes S.C. Women

Mrs. Katherine Coates, Resident Many Years, Passes Away.

Death of Mrs. Katherine Coates, well known as a resident of Sioux City for many years, occurred at a hospital here Wednesday night, following an illness with liver infection.

Mrs. Coates husband, James J. Coates, preceded her in death about six months. He was a railroad man, and had a wide acquaintance in Sioux City.

Mrs. Coates lived in the Carroll apartments, 1101 Jackson Street.

The body was taken to the Larkin funeral home Wednesday night, where it is held pending completion of funeral arrangements.
