William P. "Bill" Fleming, 73, formerly of Sioux City died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2002, in Vancouver, Wash.

Private services will be at a later date. Arrangements were under the direction of Davies Cremation and Burial Services of Vancouver.

Mr. Fleming was born Nov. 12, 1928, in Sioux City, the son of Jack and Georgina Fleming. He married Theresa Ann McHugh on Aug. 26, 1949. They moved to Vancouver in 1971.

He was of the Catholic faith and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife of Vancouver; four sons, Mike and his wife, Patty of Sioux City, Tim and his wife, Donna of Wasilla, Alaska, Jim and his wife, Debbie of Vancouver, and Joe of Camas, Wash.; two daughters, Cindy of Vancouver, and Teri and her husband, Joe Cronn of Camas; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; a brother, Jim of Sioux City; and five sisters, Agnes Thoma and Rita "Babe" Skuya, both of Sioux City, Sheila Gunderson of Phoenix, Ariz., Patty Jo Watkins of Albuquerque, N.M., and Rosalie Smokey of Alabama.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, a sister and a grandson.
