Died: At his home in Canyon Ferry, Mont., April 25, 1898 of abcess of the brain, Chester M. Wellington.

Deceased was born at Smithland, Iowa April 4, 1871. He was united in marriage to Miss Margaret Crone, June 12, 1893. He and his wife united with the Missionary Baptist Church in June 1894. He was a member of the I.O.O.F. lodge at Sloan, Iowa and was laid to rest in the I.O.O.F. cemetery at Helena, Mont. The funeral services were held at I.O.O.F. Hall. As he lived a consistent Christian life, nothing further be said as to the sweetness of his character. He is resting with Jesus. There is left to mourn his loss, a loving wife, a little daughter, a kind mother, six sisters and four brothers, besides a host of friends.
