Mrs. Cora Steele, a lifelong resident of Woodbury County, died Sunday in a Sioux City hospital after a brief illness. Her age was 74 years, 7 months and 2 days.

She was born October 11, 1870 at Holly Springs and in 1905 was married to James O. Steele. She was a member of the Holly Springs Methodist Church.

Survivors are the widower, two sisters, Mrs. Florence Steel of Sioux City and Mrs. Gertrude Heck of Viola, Idaho and three brothers, Arthur Seward of Hornick, Martin Seward of Sioux City and Clarence Seward of Oakland, California.

Funeral services were held at the Christian Church in Holly Springs on Tuesday. Interment was in Holly Springs Cemetery.
