SIOUX CITY | Linda L. Watt, 67, of Prescott, Ariz., formerly of Sioux City, died Wednesday, June 29, 2016, at a Phoenix, Ariz., hospital following a six-month illness.

At her request, her remains were cremated. There will be no funeral service at this time, however a celebration of her life will be held later.

Linda was born on May 20, 1949, in Moline, Ill., the daughter of Charles T. and Betty (Holbrook) Lang. She graduated from Sioux City East High School in 1967. She attended Morningside College.

She married C. Jeff Watt on Jan. 21, 1977. She had a 40-year career in the health and legal fields.

Linda was of the Lutheran faith. Over the years she served in many civic organizations. She enjoyed reading, walking, lunching with her girlfriends and seeing the great outdoors in their RV. After her retirement in 2011, she and her husband enjoyed traveling the United States in their RV.

She is survived by her mother, Betty Lang; her husband, Jeff; a daughter, Heather and her husband, Guy Berkenpas of Mapleton, Iowa; a son, Chris and his wife, Merelo Watt of Prattville, Ala.; four granddaughters, Madyson, Miranda, Mykaela and Maleah; one grandson, Brody; and two sisters, Terry Bue (Ron) of Storm Lake, Iowa, and Mary Mech of Minneapolis.

She was preceded in death by her father.
