Resident Of Hornick Dies: Ill Over Year

After a lingering illness of a year and a half, James Madden, 61 years old, of Hornick, Iowa died in his home there Monday.

Mr. Madden had lived at Hornick and Onawa for 47 years.

Mr. Madden was born January 1, 1868, at New Brunswick, Canada. He came to Sioux City with his parents in 1870. From here he moved to Hornick.

Besides his widow he is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Walter Steele, Miss Eileen Madden of Hornick and Mrs. Daryl James of Glen Ellyn, Illinois and four grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in the Methodist Church of Hornick, Iowa. Interment will be in Graceland Park Cemetery under the direction of J. L. Peters Funeral Home of Hornick.
