JACKSON, Neb. | Nyla J. Miller, 75, of Jackson passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2016, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sioux City. Visitation with the family present will begin at noon Tuesday.

Nyla was born in Sioux City on March 1, 1941, the daughter of Elmer and Lyda (Koch) Loseke. She attended school in Leigh, Neb. Her family moved to South Sioux City, and she graduated from South Sioux City High School. She graduated from Stewart's Beauty School in Sioux City, and worked as a beautician for many years, before working for the Nebraska Department of Social Services in Dakota City, Neb., from 1988 until she retired in 2003. Nyla married Neill Miller at First Lutheran Church in South Sioux City in 1962.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, wintering in Florida, boating on the river and just being outdoors.

Survivors include her husband, Neill Miller; children, Tony (Dixie) Miller, Teresa Arnold, Linn Miller and Terri (Steve) Bauder; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Karen Pinkley.

Nyla was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Lyda Loseke; son-in-law, Kenny Arnold; and brother-in-law, Claude Pinkley.
