12 June 2016SOUTH SIOUX CITY | Charles E. Preston, 86, of South Sioux City passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2016, at a hospital in Lincoln, Neb.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Ave. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time.
Charles Edwin Preston was born on July 21, 1929, in Sioux City, the son of Edwin and Mary (Hadley) Preston. He graduated from Central High School. Charles was united in marriage to Louise Epperson on June 13, 1959.
Charles worked at Armour and Company from 1953 until retiring in 1979. He enjoyed reading and liked to do carpentry and welding.
Charles is survived by his wife, Louise of South Sioux City; three sons, Rodney Preston of Imperial Beach, Calif., David Preston and Paul Preston, both of Sioux City; one daughter, Lora Lee; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lydia; and one sister, Judy.
