SIOUX CITY | Gwendolyn K. Jensen, 67, of Sioux City passed away Friday, June 17, 2016, at her home.

Service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Waterbury Funeral Service, 400 4th Street, Sergeant Bluff, with the Rev. Michael Erpelding officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Gwendolyn was born on Jan. 29, 1949, in Sioux Falls, S.D., the daughter of Matthew and Barbara (VanRipper) Artz. Gwen attended Catholic schools.

Gwendolyn married Kenneth Jensen on Jan. 7, 1972. They were married for 42 years until his passing in 2012.

Gwen worked at Memorial Park for 10 years and then for eight years at Aalfs Manufacturing.

She enjoyed babysitting at her home. Gwen loved her pets.

Gwen is survived by her two sons, Terry (Angela) Jensen of Mississippi, and Robert McKnight; two daughters, Carol (Dean) Williams of Sioux City, and Tressa (Don) Fischer, of South Sioux City; three brothers, Larry Artz and Michael Burges, both of Huron, S.D., and Leonard Artz of Sioux City; five sisters, Diane (Doug) Ramsey of Carson City, Nev., Vicky (Gary) Ferguson of Huron, Maggie Quiram of Huron, Kathy (Gary) Stahl of Kansas City, Kan., and Wanda Schoenwetter of Huron; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; her parents; one sister, Maryetta Rodesch; and one grandson, Trent McKnight.
