Funeral services for Frank Moore, 77, who died September 17, 1964, in Sioux City were held Saturday afternoon, September 19, at the Bethel-Peiro Methodist Church near Anthon. Rev. Wesley M. Frank officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery under direction of Walter Funeral Home of Anthon.

Frank Moore, the son of Margaret [McConnell] and L.C. Moore, was born September 3, 1887, near York, Nebraska. He was one of a family of four children. He lived at York, Nebraska, until moving to the Anthon community with his parents at the age of two. They settled on a farm nine miles west of Anthon in Grant Township. Frank resided on this farm and farmed the land until his retirement in 1936.

He was a lifelong member of the Bethel-Peiro Methodist Church. He was a Sunday school teacher and Sunday school superintendent of the church for several years.

He married Bertha Burkhart February 14, 1912, at Hornick. They were parents of two sons.

Survivors include the widow, Bertha of Anthon; two sons, Victor of Oto and Kenneth of Smithland; one sister, Mrs. Jennie Deist of San Jose, California; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

He was preceded by his parents, one sister and one brother.
