SIOUX CITY | Grace Elva Tillman (Walker), 91, of Sioux City passed away peacefully Friday, April 29, 2016, at her residence surrounded by loved ones.

Services began Saturday, April 30, with a meal served at noon, where the body arrived at 4 p.m. inside the Ho-Chunk building at Winnebago, Neb. Terry Medina was in charge of ceremonies with the Revs. Glass and Goodwin officiating. Ceremonies will conclude at noon Monday, with burial in the Winnebago Cemetery.

Grace was born Aug. 20, 1924, in Winnebago, Neb., to Lena Green and Thomas Walker Sr. Grace attended college at Haskell University in Lawrence, Kan., to be a nurse, before continuing her missionary work for the Lord.

She taught Sunday school in Winnebago and Sioux City and enjoyed ministering to the people in her neighborhood daily.

Her hobbies included sewing, Goodwill shopping, going to church and reading her Bible.

She married Lester Tillman Sr. of Lexington, Miss., in February 1962, and was a very special mother of eight children.

Survivors include her daughters, Richenda Pritchard (Curtis) of Tennessee, and Rena Goodwin (Walter) of Iowa; two sons, Larry Butler (Elfreda) of Arizona and Robert Tillman (Colleen) of Oklahoma; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren all over the world.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; her sisters and brothers; a daughter, Rhonda Tillman; and sons, Lester Tillman Jr., Ronnie Marshall and Lee Tillman.
