Graveside services were held for Russell Patrick “Pat” Welte at the Danbury Catholic Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 31, 2001. Arrangements were made by Armstrong Funeral Home of Danbury. Father William Schreiber officiated the service.

Pat was born to Gerald and Laura Welte on March 5, 1936. He graduated from St. Patrick’s Academy and served in the military. He had lived in California for several years and passed away there earlier this year.

Survivors include four brothers, Dennis and Mike of Sioux City and Ed and Tim of Danbury; five sisters, Evelyn of Pittsburg, California, Mary Jo of Fargo, North Dakota, Kay of Hinton and Jean and Joyce of Sioux City.

Pat was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Sarah who died in 1935.
