Thomas A. Ashcraft, 62, of Sioux City, died unexpectedly Saturday, January 30, at his home.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel with the Rev. A.T. Washington officiating. Burial will be Memorial Park Cemetery with military graveside rites by American Legion Duane Nelson Post 1981. Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home with the family present from 6 to 7 p.m.

Mr. Ashcraft was born December 22, 1936 in Sioux City, the son of Arthur and Ella Mae (Eastman) Ashcraft. He attended Central High School and served with the U.S. Navy for 21 years from 1954 to 1975.

Survivors include a brother, Robert and his wife, Gloria, of Sioux City; three sisters, Mildred Graim, June Lowery and Mae Stephens and her husband, Robert, all of Sioux City, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and two brothers.

Pallbearers will be Bill Berens, Shorty Graim, Buddy Lane, Bob Stephens, Ross Stephens and Rich Ashcraft.
