Vonny Lee (Beier) Albrecht, 66, of Sioux City died Monday, February 1, 1999, at a Sioux City hospital after a brief illness.

Services will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Parker, S.D. The body was cremated. There will be no visitation at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Mrs. Albrecht was born July 18, 1932, in Fargo, N.D., the daughter of Aaron and Thelma (Flom) Beier. She was raised on the family farm in the Parker area.

She taught elementary school for several years in North Dakota and California and then was office manager for a large insurance company in Sioux City before transferring to Wichita, Kansas. Upon her retirement in 1982 she returned to Sioux City to be near her family.

Survivors include her mother of Parker; a son, Mark A. Albrecht of North Sioux City; a daughter, Tracy L. Hood of Wichita; a granddaughter, Hannah L. Hood of Wichita and two brothers, A.P. “Pete” Beier of South Sioux City and Philip D. Beier of Marion, Ark.

She was preceded in death by her father and a brother, Russell H. Beier.
