15 October 2015Todd A. Hamann, 46 of Sergeant Bluff, died Saturday, October 10, 2015 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
Services will be held 10:30 am Friday, October 16, 2015 at Wesley United Methodist Church with Rev. Sheryl Ashley officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, 4-8 pm at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sergeant Bluff, with the family present 6-8 pm and a prayer service at 7:00 pm.
Todd Allen Hamann was born on August 8, 1969 in Onawa, Iowa, the son of Bryan and Patricia (Carlsen) Hamann. Todd was Baptized at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Mapleton, Iowa and confirmed at the Shepherd of Peace Lutheran Church in Sergeant Bluff. Todd attended schools in Sergeant Bluff. He lived in Sheldon, Iowa before returning back to Sioux City.
Over the years, Todd worked for a landscaping service, with his father on rental property, and as a welder with FIMCO Industries.
Todd loved to draw roses, fish and play pool. He also enjoyed refinishing antique furniture and working on welding art projects. Todd loved spending time with his family, especially his nieces and newphews.
Todd is survived by two sons, Jacob Hamann of Sergeant Bluff and Nathaniel Hamann of Sioux City; his father, Bryan Hamann of Sioux City, his mother, Patricia Hamann of Sergeant Bluff; two brothers, Chad Hamann of Grundy Center, Iowa and Wade Hamann of Sergeant Bluff; and aunts, uncles and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: John and Charlene Carlsen and John and La Verna Hamann.
