Arthur D. Wright, 78, of Burbank, Calif., formerly of Sioux City, died in October, 2002, following a lengthy illness.

Funeral services are pending in California.

Mr. Wright was born June 12, 1924, in Sioux City. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Following his military discharge, he moved to Burbank and resided there since then.

Survivors include four sisters, Elaine Johnson and her husband Donald of Grover Beach, Calif., Barbara Cook of Arroya Grande, Calif., Margeret Eberhard and her husband, Norman of Santa Barbara, Calif. and Nora Johnson and her husband William of Sioux City; four brothers, Leo of Grover Beach, Calif., Raymond of Nebraska City, Neb., James and his wife Annabelle of Sioux City and Andrew of South Dakota; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by has parents, Arthur and Catherine Wright, two brothers, one sister, a sister-in-law Clara and a brother-in-law Harry.
