17 April 2001Eugene Bradstreet, 72, of Sioux City died Sunday, April 15, 2001, at his residence following a lengthy illness.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. today at Calvary Lutheran Church, with the Rev. David Schoop officiating. Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. today in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel.
Mr. Bradstreet was born May 31, 1928, in Sioux City, the son of Russell E. and Anna C. (Schwesinger) Bradstreet. He attended and graduated from Leeds High School. He served in the U.S. Army from 1950 to 1952, during the Korean War, stationed with McArthur Headquarters, 16th Corps.
He was employed with Sioux Transportation for 35 years, retiring as a traffic manager.
He was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, where he served in all offices of the church. He enjoyed stamp and coin collecting, reading and traveling.
Survivors include two brothers and their wives, Kenneth G. and Ruth of Emporia, Kan., and Robert H. and Jackie of Houston, Texas; a sister, Deloris Bradstreet of Sioux City; two nieces; three nephews; and several grandnieces and grandnephews.
Pallbearers will be James Clausen, Troy Betsworth, Glenn Christianson, Bradley Cale, and Larry and Garry Bradstreet.
Memorials in his name may be directed to Calvary Lutheran Church and Hospice of Siouxland.
