Don M. Bushar, 71, of 1729 Procyon Court, Rio Rancho, N.M. 87124, formerly of Sioux City, died Friday, Jan. 4, 2002, at his residence of heart failure.

Services will be today in Sante Fee, N.M. Burial will be in Santa Fe National Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Direct Funeral Services in Albuquerque, N.M.

Mr. Bushar was born Oct. 31, 1930, in Sioux City. He graduated from Central High School and the University of Iowa School of Pharmacy. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He married Orpha Jolley on Feb. 15, 1963, in Sioux City. He was a pharmacist for more than 50 years, and a Woodbury County pharmacist for 13 years. He moved to New Mexico in 1986 and held various pharmacy jobs.

He was a Mason for 49 years and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5890.

Survivors include his wife, Orpha (Jolley) Bushar; a son and his wife, Lance and Shelley Bushar; a daughter and her husband, Heather and Jeff Goode; four granddaughters, Elizabeth, Jessica, LeAnn and Abigail Bushar; and three grandsons, D.J., Nolan and Dalton Goode.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Alyce Bushar
