Richard W. “Rick” Bray, 50, of Sioux City died Wednesday, October 13, 1999 at his residence.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Boniface Catholic Church, with the Rev. Kevin M. Richter officiating. Burial will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery, South Sioux City, with military rites conducted by American Legion Monahan Post 64. Visitation with the family present will be 9 a.m. until service time Monday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Mr. Bray was born January 20, 1949, in Sioux City, the son of Robert W. and Frances J. (Graham) Bray. He graduated from Central High School and Western Iowa Tech Community College. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Conflict.

He was employed with ACR Heating and Cooling and then with Hilton Inn.

He was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church and American Legion Monahan Post 64.

Survivors include a son, Chad of Arkansas; a daughter and her husband, Cindy and Rick Paasch of Sioux City; his parents of Sioux City; a brother and his wife, John and Cathy of Kansas City, Mo.; five sisters, Linda and her husband, George Fuller of Sioux City, Jean Plueger and her fiancé, Dan Chicot of South Sioux City, Janet and her husband, Dar Plueger of Sioux City, Mary and her husband, Tim Kelley of Austin, Texas and Lisa and her husband, Richard Grant of Sioux City; a grandson, Richard Paasch III; many nieces and nephew.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Pallbearers will be Pat Miles, Dar and Ed Plueger, Dan Chicot, Richard Grant and John Bammerline.
