Thomas N. Cobb, 69, of Bottineau, N.D., died Saturday, March 24, 2001, at a Sioux City hospital following a brief illness.

Services will be 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Steve Pohlman, chaplain of St. Luke’s Regional Medical Center, Officiating. The body will be cremated following the services. Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Cobb was born Dec. 15, 1931, in Detroit, Mich. He attended elementary and high school in Battle Creek and Kalamazoo, Mich. Following high school he served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. After the service he attended Wayne State College and Wayne State College of Law in Detroit. He married Carolyn E. Brandt on March 29, 1990, in Phoenix, Ariz.

He was a social worker for the Department of Social Services in Detroit. He then entered the insurance profession as a claims adjuster. He retired in 1996 as Associate Vice President of Scottsdale Insurance Company in Scottsdale, Ariz.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Thomas T. Cobb of Boston, Steve Cobb of Grand Blanc, Mich., and Paul Cobb and his fiancée, Michelle of San Mateo, Calif., two daughters and their husbands, Mary and Scott Coolman of Sylvania, Ohio, and Christine and Sam Crewse of Indianapolis, Ind., four stepdaughters and their husbands, Julie and Brian Thiele of Sioux City, Katie and Craig Shaw of Roseland, Nebr., Mary and Phil Ohst of Phoenix and Valerie and Eddie Maluyo of Phoenix; four stepsons, William and his wife, Annette Brandt of Scottsdale, Robert and his wife, Rebecca Brandt of Atlantic, Ga. and Chuck and David Coppas and 15 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
