Frances M. Sager, 95, Sioux City, formerly of hinton, Iowa, died Saturday, January 6, 1996, in Sioux City after a brief illness.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Anderson-Perasso Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Boykin, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church in Hinton, officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Park Cemetery, Sioux City. Visitation will be 1 to 9 p.m. today, with the family present 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Sager was born April 1, 1900 in Tupelo, Okla., the daughter of James and Amanda Morris. She moved to Lemesa, Texas, at the age 16. She married Cecil Sager Oct. 22, 1920 at Lemesa. The couple moved to a farm at Hinton in 1933. He died May 20, 1953, in Sioux City and she moved to Sioux City Sept. 21, 1993.

Mrs. Sager was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church at Hinton.

Survivors include a son and his wife, Ross and Maxine Sager of Sioux City, a sister-in-law, Dorothy Sager of Sioux City; eight granddaughters, Carol Heckert, Joan Sager, Gail Conrad, Glenda Fredericksen, Kay Smith, Cindy McWhirter, Vickey Svoboda and Lori Hasselquist; 10 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Virginia Ricco of Muskegon, Mich.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Glenn and Oren James; a sister; four brothers and one great-great-granddaughter.

Pallbearers will be James McWhirter, Tim Svoboda, Keith Hasselquist, Larry Heckert, JerryConrad and Randy Grasz.
