SIOUX CITY | Helen (Heeren) Kellison, 98, of Sioux City passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2015, at a local care facility after a brief illness.

Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. The Rev. Kenny Hsu will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Helen was born Dec. 26, 1916, in Le Mars, Iowa. She was the daughter of William and Mary (Oltmans) Heeren. Helen came to Sioux City with her family as a child. She attended Woodrow Wilson Junior High.

Helen married Wilbur Kellison on March 4, 1939 in Sioux City. He died Feb. 14, 1984 in San Diego, Calif.

She worked for Western States Manufacturing for 40 years, retiring in 1977. Helen was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her nephews, Frank Heeren Jr. of Sioux City, Lynn Heeren of Sheridan, Wyo., and Dan Heeren of Clay Center, Kan.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Wilbur. She was the last of family, having been preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters
