7 January 1999Charlotte L. Baade, 63, of Sioux City died Wednesday, Jan. 6, 1999, in Lincoln, Neb.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Sioux City. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Walton, Neb. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday, with the family present 3 to 5 p.m., at Roper and Sons Mortuary.
Mrs. Baade was born in Martin, S.D., the daughter of Lawrence and Pauline (Gruber) Sears. She graduated from Hebron (S.D.) High School in 1953. She recieved her bachelor's degree in home economics from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln in 1957. She taught home economics at Grant Public School, Voc-ed classes in sewing and tailoring and was a substitute. She also was a homemaker.
She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, many church organizations, Siouxland Sewing Guild, Y.M.C.A., Home Economics Club and VHEA. She was a Co-Ed counselor.
Survivors include her husband, Donald L. Baade; two daughters and their husbands, Colleen R. Baade and Roger Hochstetler of Lincoln and Susan L. and Jon Pearson of Omaha, Neb. three grandchildren, Catherine, Jacob and Anna Pearson; two sisters, Dorothy M. Hamilton of Mountain View, Calif., and E. Colleen and her husband, Robert Kostenbader, of Freeport, Ill.; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother.
