Louise M. Cavanaugh, 87, of Sioux City died Monday, Feb. 22, 1999, at her residence.

Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at

St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Robert Schimmer officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. today with a 4 p.m. Scripture service at the Anderson-Perasso Funeral Home.

Mrs. Cavanaugh was born Sept. 19, 1911, in Pender, Neb. to Clyde and Jane (Colligan) Barton. She married Thomas Cavanaugh May 19, 1952, in Omaha, Neb. He died in 1961 in Sioux City. She was raised on a farm near Pender, Neb., then lived in Omaha, Neb, and worked for Kilpatrick's Department Store for 15 years. She had lived in Sioux City since 1960.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Survivors include 2 nieces and a nephew, including Brenda Barton of Pender, Neb.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond.
