4 June 1999Wayne L. McCallister, 72, of Sioux City died of cancer Thursday, June 3, 1999, at his residence.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturdato 1947. Following his discharge, he attended National Business Training School.
He married Beverly Burnett on Sept. 23, 1950, in Sioux City. The couple lived in Sioux City and moved to South Dakota, California and Colorado before returning to Sioux City. He retired from Data Documents Inc. in 1990.
He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, where he was a trustee, American Legion Monahan Post 64, Studebaker Drivers Club and Sooland Antique Car Club.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter and her husband, Marilyn and Marvin Johns of Sioux City; a son, Michael of Sidney, Neb.; and three grandchildren, Jason and Jessica Johns and Dillon McCallister.
Memorials in his name may be directed to St. Paul's Lutheran Church or Hospice of Siouxland.
