Glen F. Edwards, 73, of Worthington, Minn., formerly of Sioux City, died Saturday, Oct. 30, 1999, at his home.

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Lutheran Church in Worthington, with the Revs. Robert S. Knutson and Diane F. Koschmeder officiating. Burial will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Logan Cemetery in Sioux City, with full military honors. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Lynch-Dingmann Funeral Home in Worthington. Visitation will resume one hour prior to service on Tuesday at the church.

Mr. Edwards was born Dec. 30, 1925, at Westfield, Iowa, the son of Glen S. and Luella (Hoffman) Edwards. He attended school in South Dakota.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He married Frances "Eileen" Orth on Oct. 11, 1946, in Luverne, Minn. They made their home in Sioux City, where he was employed at Armour and Company. He and his family moved to Worthington in 1964, transfering with Armour and Company. After 35 years of employment with the company, he retired in 1981.

He was a member of First Lutheran Church in Worthington.

He was a member of the American Legion. He was an officer in Local 1161.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Robert, and his special friend, Wanda Renken, of Worthington; six daughters: Shirley Ebel and her husband, Robert, of Sierra Vista, Ariz., Marcia Solomon of Scottsdale, Ariz., Paula Laffrenzen and her husband, Jim, of Worthington, Nancy Chergosky and her husband, Steven, of Edina, Minn., Susan Loosbrock and her husband, Mike, of rural Fulda, and Julie Edwards of Vermillion, S.D.; 19 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three brothers: Dwayne of Denver, Colo., John of Sioux City, and Randy and his wife, Sue, of Jefferson, S.D.; six sisters and their husbands: Lorraine and Ray Frazee of Worthington, Madonna and Norman Semple of Sioux City, Patricia and Roland Beintema of Fort Worth, Texas, Joyce and Donald McPeek of Sioux City, Diana and Larry Miller of Port Washington, Wis., and Rosella and Gary Mannion of Alta Loma, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
