Della May Edwards, 80, formerly of Sioux City died Thursday, April 8, 1999, at an El Monte, Calif., hospital following a lengthy illness.

The body was cremated.

Mrs. Edwards was born Sept. 4, 1918, in Hornick, Iowa, the daughter of Ernest and Stella Jackson.

She married Earl Edwards on Sept. 23, 1936, in Elk Point, S.D. She had a son, Nathen Earl Edwards.

She was a member of Church of Christ.

Survivors include two brothers, John Jackson and his wife, Louise of Sioux City and Earl Jackson of Walthill, Neb.; and a sister and her husband, Anna and Duane Cable of McCook Lake, S.D.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a brother, Clyde Jackson; two sisters, Ruth Jackson and Mary Means; and a brother-in-law, Raymond Means.
