4 March 1999Carmen Eileen Huss, 83, of Portland, Ore., formerly of Sioux City, died Feb. 4, 1999, in Portland.
There were no services held. Arrangements were under the direction of Lincoln Memorial Park and Funeral Home of Portland.
Mrs. Huss was born July 13, 1915, in Schaller, Iowa. She was raised in Sioux City.
She married Julius Huss in August 1936. She moved to Portland in 1972. She was employed with Newberrys, retiring in 1977.
Survivors include three sons, Peter of LaCenter, Wash., Richard of Jamul, Calif., and Dale of Portland; three daughters, Beverly Patrick of Palm Springs, Calif., Patricia Welch of Fresno, Calif., and Judy Wiedeman of Portland; a brother, Don McCleerey of Hemet, Calif.; 26 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Paul; and five brothers, Ralph Murray, Merlin, Bob, Bernie and Bill McCleerey.
