Michael Maurice Mulvihill, 76, of Sioux City died Tuesday, June 8, 1999, at Sioux City.

There will be no services. Burial will be in Sioux City under the direction of Christy-Smith Funeral Home. There will be no visitation.

Mr. Mulvihill was born Jan. 31, 1923, in Salix, Iowa, the son of Maurice and May (Beaubien) Mulvihill. He was raised in Salix and lived in the Salix and Sioux City area most of his life. He graduated from Salix High School and was employed with LaCross Dredging until his retirement. He married Phylis R. Madison Aug. 11, 1942, at Independence, Kan. She died in 1989.

Mr. Mulvihill was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Salix.

Survivors include a daughter, Judy Jones of Sioux City; four sisters, Marian and her husband, Fred Terry of Grand Island, Neb., Elwyne Lamareaux and Ann Hungerford, both of Salix and Edith Powell of Derby, Kan.; two brothers and their wives, Louis and Lucille of Sioux City and Pat and Millie of Salix; two granddaughters, Annette Jones and Christine Jones; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Grace Chilton and a brother, James.
