SIOUX CITY | Leah R. Larson, 30, of Sioux City passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2014, in Sioux City.

Per her wishes her body was cremated. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel, with the Rev. Del Olivier officiating. Burial of her cremains will be at a later date in Oregon. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Online condolences may be sent to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Leah was born on Jan. 30, 1984, to Peter W. and Sandra (Larson) Hanson in Yuma, Ariz. She graduated from East High School.

Leah was a wonderful mother and loved spending time with her son. Leah loved to travel and spend time with her family and friends. She was caring, always lending an ear to a friend that needed advice. She loved music, arts and crafting, and scrapbooking. She was always the person to send you a funny birthday card or a card just because.

She is survived by her mother, Sandra Hanson of Sioux City; son, Kai Alavez of Sioux City; and her brother, Charles Hanson of Sioux City.
