SIOUX CITY | Mary E. Boston, 82, of Sioux City passed from this earth to the presence of the Lord, whom she served, on Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2014, at a local nursing facility.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at First Assembly of God Church in Sioux City. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present at 6 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m., at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Mary was born on April 24, 1932, in Sioux City, to Clarence A. and Verdna (Scott) Musselman. She received her formal education at Sioux City Public Schools. She attended North Park College in Chicago, Ill., finishing her bachelor of arts degree at Morningside College in Sioux City.

Mary married William J. Boston on June 23, 1956, in Sioux City, to which union five children were born. She taught with the Sioux City Public School District, and finished her teaching career at St. Luke’s Pre-School. She retired with more than 30 years as an educator.

Mary was a proud and active member of First Assembly of God Church. She taught Sunday School for many years and served faithfully on many committees. She also spent many hours volunteering at the Gospel Mission. Mary found her greatest joy in her family and spending time with her grandchildren.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Sara Rudolph and her husband, Rudy of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and their children, Daniel, Elisabeth, Nathanael, Gabriel, and James; son, John Boston and his wife, Julie of Sioux City, and their children, David and Holly; daughter, Nancy Bowlin and her husband, Tim of Castle Rock, Colo., and their children, J.C., Justin, and Andrea; son, Steven Boston and his wife, Bobbi of Merriam, Kan., and their children, Haley and Koleton; daughter, Julie Boston-Jones and her husband, Dennis of Hinton, Iowa, and their children, Michael, Daniel, Taylor, and Tristin; her sister, Ruth Stewart and her husband, Jim of Colorado Springs, Colo.; her brother, Dr. Robert Musselman and his wife, Andrea of Fort Collins, Colo.; and 11 great-grandchildren were also a great joy to her.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, David Musselman.
